There is a moment every winter morning when you open the front door, feel the cold air hit your face and think about the frozen car waiting outside. A chilly seat, a frosty mirror and a steering wheel that feels like an ice cube make for a rough start to the day.
The 2027 Toyota Corolla offers several ways to make those mornings easier. Depending on the grade, you can start your Corolla from your phone, sit on a heated seat and grip a heated steering wheel. Here is a simple guide to the cold-weather comfort features in the 2027 Corolla lineup and how to get the most from them.
Remote Connect links your Corolla to the Toyota app on your smartphone. It runs on a 4G network connection. With it, you can start your Corolla remotely and let the cabin begin to warm while you finish your coffee.
Remote Connect comes with a five-year trial on many 2027 Corolla grades. That includes the LE Upgrade, SE, SE Upgrade and XSE gas grades, plus every hybrid model. The L and LE gas grades are subscription-capable, so owners can add the service if they choose.
A quick safety reminder: only start your vehicle remotely when it is safe and legal to do so. Never remote start a car parked in an enclosed space, like a closed garage, or with a child inside.

Heated front seats are standard on every 2027 Corolla grade except the L. They take the bite out of a cold seat in just a few moments.
The XSE and Hybrid XSE go further with heated rear seats too. That is a welcome feature for families with kids in the back or for anyone carrying passengers on cold days. The XSE grades also upgrade to SofTex-trimmed seats, with an 8-way power-adjustable heated driver’s seat.
Gloves help, but a warm steering wheel is even better. A heated leather-wrapped steering wheel comes standard on the LE Upgrade, SE and SE Upgrade gas grades. It is also standard on the Hybrid SE and Hybrid XSE.
On a frosty morning, that warmth makes the first kilometres of your drive much more comfortable.
Power-adjustable heated exterior mirrors are standard on every 2027 Corolla. They help melt frost and clear moisture from your side mirrors, so you can see what is beside you when you change lanes.

Comfort is one part of winter driving. Traction is another. Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive is available on the Hybrid LE and standard on the Hybrid SE and Hybrid XSE. It helps the Corolla Hybrid pull away confidently on snowy or slushy streets.
The hybrid models use Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system with a 1.8 L 4-cylinder engine and a net output of 138 hp. Gas models use a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine with 169 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque.

A few easy habits help you get the most from these features:
Every 2027 Corolla also includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These driver-assist features support your awareness on dark winter mornings and snowy evening drives.
Warm seats, a warm wheel and a cabin you can start from your phone make winter mornings much more pleasant. The team at Chassé Toyota in Montréal can show you how Remote Connect works and help you find the 2027 Corolla grade with the cold-weather features you want. Come by for a visit and see them up close.
