Each automaker therefore puts its best foot forward to develop its best model. The 2017 Toyota Corolla is the perfect example.
Several reasons explain why the 2017 Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in the world.
On the market for 50 years now, the 2017 Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in the world, but it would be wrong to think that Toyota is satisfied with these results. And if that’s the case, the Japanese manufacturer is certainly not showing it. This year, the 2017 Corolla gets another round of improvements designed to accentuate the equipment it offers, improve its value, and make it even safer than it already is.
For example, this year, Toyota made the decision that safety would not be optional on its vehicles.
Specifically, the 2017 Toyota Corolla is equipped with Toyota’s Toyota Safety Sense P on all models. This means that every Corolla gets a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, a lane departure alert system with steering assist, a dynamic radar cruise control and automatic headlights. Again, all this is offered as standard on the entry-level model starting at $ 16,390!
In addition to its new safety features, the 2017 Toyota Corolla also receives several other enhancements such as redesigned headlights and taillights, new bumpers, and new wheels.
Two Versions of a Fuel-Efficient Engine in the 2017 Toyota Corolla
All versions of the 2017 Toyota Corolla are powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, but there are two variants of this engine. Most 2017 Toyota Corollas are powered by the 132-horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque version of Toyota’s powertrain, and buyers can opt for either a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVTi-S continuously variable automatic transmission.
On the other hand, you can also opt for the 2017 Toyota Corolla LE ECO which offers 140 horsepower, but lower fuel consumption thanks to several additions that aim to improve its efficiency. That said, both versions of the engine stand out in the fuel economy department.
