The Toyota RAV4 has become the best-selling vehicle in Canada lately and there are many reasons for its popularity. Spacious, refined, comfortable, equipped with advanced technologies, the Toyota RAV4 is one of the most reliable compact SUVs in the segment and its resale value is exceptional.
It also offers a lot of options and versions to meet a wide range of needs. There are a total of 12 versions in the 2021 Toyota RAV4 lineup and three engines are offered. No other compact SUV offers so much choice.
The first engine is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder that develops 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. This engine is more powerful than any other base engine in the segment while offering average fuel consumption of fewer than 8.0 litres per 100 kilometres.
Obviously, if fuel economy is your priority, the ever-popular Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is the best option. The latter is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor for a total of 219 horsepower. That said, its fuel economy is what impresses the most with an average of just 5.7 litres per 100 kilometres in the city.
Then there's the impressive Toyota RAV4 Prime, the segment's first compact plug-in hybrid SUV. It offers an exceptional range of 68 kilometres in 100% electric mode in addition to offering 302 horsepower. It can reach 100 km/h in less than 6.0 seconds.
With over 1,000 litres of cargo space with all seats in place and the advanced Toyota Safety Sense system as standard, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 can meet all of your family's needs.
